Effective O&M includes Data Collecting and Reporting

The Operations and Maintenance Management Team continues to make strides in achieving reliable and accurate data gathering and reporting. The Sierra Leone team is constantly reviewing fuel efficiency, alarms, power generation, reliability and availability, O&M Manager Ricardo Sanchez stated in a report. In May, USP&E introduced its proprietary web-based monitoring system— SMARTpower to its client London Mining. SMARTpower will be used to monitor the power plant that provides energy to the Marampa Mine. The O&M team is also working to ensure that work order and preventative maintenance processes are effective, easily retrievable and answers questions that may arise concerning process performance. It is the team’s goal to ensure that the data reflects the performance, reliability and availability of each of the units.
